About the Lab

The lab provides a strong cyber security education program and it mainly focuses on the process of developing collaboration with academia, industry and government labs to enhance research.

Block Chain

The lab focuses on studying algorithms and systems that protect the security and integrity of computer systems, the information they store, and the people who use them. The major thrust areas presently being researched in this lab include data security and privacy, network security, information security and cryptography. Besides research, the lab also provides a strong foundation of security to students and industry professionals by offering courses and labs in Network Security, Information Security, etc.Learners in this lab are working on mitigating vulnerabilities and attacks that are rampant in the Internet like Backdoor Attack, Denial-of-service attack, Direct-access attacks, Eavesdropping, Spoofing, Tampering, Privilege escalation, Phishing, Clickjacking and Social engineering. These attacks present a huge risk to Financial systems, Utilities and industrial equipment, Aviation, Consumer devices, Large corporations, Automobiles, Government and Medical Facilities. The lab is also focusing on topics in cryptography like Symmetric-key cryptography, Public-key cryptography, Cryptanalysis, Cryptographic primitives and Cryptosystems to secure the digital world that we are moving into. The lab’s primary research interests include algorithms and systems that ensure the safety and integrity of computer systems, the data they contain, and the users of such systems. Data security and privacy, network security, information security, and cryptography are the main emphasis areas now under investigation in this lab. In addition to doing research, the lab offers courses and laboratories in network security, information security, etc. to the learners.

For Learners

In this lab, students are focusing on minimising the risks of common Internet assaults and vulnerabilities, such as Backdoor Attacks, Denial-of-Service Attacks, Direct-Access Attacks, Eavesdropping, Spoofing, Tampering, Privilege Escalation, Phishing, Clickjacking, and Social Engineering. Financial systems, utilities and industrial equipment, aviation, consumer electronics, large organisations, automobiles, government agencies, and medical facilities are all at great risk from these attacks. To safeguard the digital world we are heading into, the lab is also concentrating on cryptography areas like symmetric-key cryptography, public-key cryptography, cryptanalysis, cryptographic primitives, and cryptosystems. The lab offers an excellent cyber security education programme and is creating partnerships with academic institutions, businesses, and government labs to advance research.
