- Saveetha Teaching Learning Centre (STLC) of Saveetha Engineering College (SEC) organised an International Conference on Educating the Millennials (ICEM’24) on May 17, 2024. This second edition connected the academic experts, budding educators and eminent members of the teaching-learning community. This confluence set an arena for enhancing the potential of Engineering Educators and Learners.
- Dr. K.N. Subramanya, an eminent educator and Principal, RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru inaugurated ICEM’24. He addressed the gathering on the methods of quality assurance in engineering education during this digital era. Besides, ICEM’24 witnessed an interactive keynote session by Educational Psychologist Dr. Prathiba Nagabhushan, based at St. Mary MacKillop College in Canberra highlighting the need for educators to adapt their pedagogical approaches for post-millennial learners.
- In order to facilitate participants from other countries, ICEM’24 was a hybrid programme that hosted paper presentation session in both virtual and face-to face mode. Several research works on digital fluency, experiential learning, emotional empowerment, ecological pedagogy and curriculum enhancement were presented. Hence, ICEM’24 witnessed the works of passionate educators and learners who were instrumental in changing the paradigm of teaching domain.
