A Guest lecture on ‘DIGITIAL TRANSFORMATION IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
Infrastructure Projects Using Geospatial Technologies’ was organized by the Department of
Civil Engineering on 23.05.2026. The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Hussain Babu
Senior Manager – Digital, Domestic WET SBG L&T Construction Ltd. The guest
highlighted about modern tools to enhance planning accuracy, streamline cost estimation,
reduce errors, and improve overall project efficiency and decision-making. The guest lecture
is expected to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how digital
technologies are transforming the infrastructure and construction industry. Students gained
the awareness about modern industry practices, emerging technologies, and the growing
demand for professionals skilled in digital engineering and geospatial applications.
